So it’s time to kick off Signed, Abiah Rose’s virtual book tour. Here again is the schedule for this week. And don’t forget that leaving a comment on any of the host sites (including this one) makes you eligible for the drawing for a signed copy of the book. Hope you’ll come with us on tour….. Tomorrow Tina Nichols Coury will be interviewing me as the author of Abiah, which will then be available in bookstores!

Monday, June 7      Here at Out of the Paintbox

Wednesday, June 9  Megan Frances' On Beyond Words and Pictures

Thursday, June 10    Mary Peterson's A Beautiful Fish

Friday, June 11       To be Announced!

Today I’m following the lead of blogger Catherine Ryan Howard.  She has a post called ‘Things you Can Do When a Box of Your Books Arrives’ which made me laugh out loud.  Catherine was right on the mark about first-time-author instincts when your first books arrive in the mail -- I just got mine from Tricycle.  Thank you, Catherine!   I’m doing what you suggested!

This is amazing!

Just LOOK!

What fun!  My book is rubbing shoulders with Melissa Sweet and Lisbeth Zwerger!

Check out Catherine’s blog (Catherine, Caffeinated).  She has LOTS of helpful tips on her site.

And don't forget to come on tour!

  1. Hi there!

Found your site as an incoming link. Thanks so much for the mention and your books look fantastic! It's sooo exciting when they finally arrive, isn't it? You just want to stare at them all day.

    Best of luck with it,

  2. I was so happy to find your site, and here you are on mine - From Ireland! Hope Mousetrapped is doing well, and your new novel is quickly sold!

  3. Diane, this is so great! I wish you much luck on your blog tour. I'll stop by the other sites as well.

  4. Diane: I'm going to follow your blog tour because I know Signed, Abiah Rose is a great book. Besides, I'll learn about blog tours from you. 8-)

  5. What an exciting week! I'm so happy to be part of the blog tour. Your book looks beautiful next to its companions. My own preview copy of Signed, Abiah Rose sits on my bookshelf, comfortably nestled between Ian Falconer's Olivia and David Wiesner's Sector 7.

  6. Thanks, ladies for spending this special week with me! The good news, and the bad news, is that I'm learning about blog tours as I go!

  7. Hi Diane. Great interview. The book looks great when I first saw at writer's day. I can't wait to see it at the book store sitting next to all the other wonderful picture books.

  8. You're book looks wonderful! Can't wait to get a copy of my own. I'm so excited for you, Diane!

  9. Thanks, Carolyn and Cathy June. I'm so happy the book will finally be out!

  10. What a cute photo! (Of you, not the books---though the books look pretty cute too.) Looking forward to tomorrow's interview!
